Nick Jr. UK & Irland ist ein Ableger des US-Senders Nick Jr. Betrieben wird er von Nickelodeon UK & Irland. Er ist wie jeder Nick Jr.-Sender an Vorschulkinder gerichtet.
Geschichte[]
Vor 1999 wurde schon ein Programmfenster von Nick Jr. auf Nickelodeon UK & Irland ausgestrahlt. 1999 startete Nick Jr. UK & Irland bei Sky UK auf einem gemeinsamen Sendeplatz mit Sky Sports 3 auf einem analogen Satelliten. Dort lief Nick Jr. UK & Irland von 6:00-12:00 Uhr. Diese Übertragung endete nach einigen Jahren. Heute sendet Nick Jr. von 6:00-22:00 Uhr. Um 20:00 Uhr startet Nick Jr. Classics. In Irland existiert seit 2004 eine Version von Nick Jr., jedoch mit anderen Werbespots.
Nick Jr. +1, ein Dienst zum zeitversetzten Fernsehen, startete im Oktober 2012 und ersetzt Nicktoons Replay.
