Apparently, Paramount and Skydance are doing a potential merger and it may happen in 2025 unless someone else has a better deal.
On the one hand, it’s good. But on the other hand, John Lasseter is the head of Skydance Animation. If you don’t know who he is, he was the chief creative officer of Disney and Pixar until 2018. He also did some really awkward and disgusting as **** stuff.
Not to mention that he would meddle a lot of productions really badly. Take for instance, Luck. The original film had Alessandro Carloni directing the film and it was originally about a war between good luck and bad luck. That was until John Lasseter came in, and he replaced Carloni with Peggy Holmes, and he turned the movie into a dumb bland crappy rip-off of Monsters Inc.
Not to mention that there were rumors that Skydance Animation is actually a corrosive studio where he would allow abusive directors to treat works like absolute garbage.
So if he does become head of animation, I hope he doesn’t ruin all of the upcoming Nickelodeon movies. Like, the TMNT: Mutant Mayhem sequel (by Jeff Rowe and Seth Rogen), the third PAW Patrol movie (by Cal Brunker and Bob Barlen), The fourth SpongeBob movie (by Derek Drymon and other SpongeBob veterans) coming on near Christmas next year, the 2026 Avatar movie (by Lauren Montgomery), and all of the other movies that are either upcoming or in development.
If he does, it will make not one, not two, not three, but all of the upcoming NIckelodeon Movies, completely unwatchable (either because of John Lasseter's name attached to them or the fact that they might be meddled by John Lasseter into bland Faux Disney/Pixar movies).

Drymon telling the movie will have nudity.
