The 8th Annual Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards were held on May 20, 1995 at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California. Whitney Houston was the host. Over twenty-six million kids participated in the voting.
The stage for this year's show took on an airport theme. The Barker Hangar was transformed into Nickelodeon's "Blimp Port", with two giant KCA blimps docked onstage. Various tunnels and entryways, including two tunnels at the back of the venue, were labeled as boarding gates. The winners were revealed on a dot-matrix display over the doors at the back of the stage.
