"A Very Anubis Christmas Eve" is a seven-minute House of Anubis reunion special directed by Jack Hackett and written by Tasie Lawrence. It was posted by Tasie and Nathalia Ramos on their Instagram profiles and before that Tasie and Nathalia posted a surprise teaser through their Instagram accounts on December 21[1][2], finally on the 24th of the same month they posted the full special.[3]
Plot[]
Mara is making the final arrangements for Christmas dinner when Amber and KT arrive and pleasantly surprise her. She tells them that she rented a special room called ''the Ancient Egyptian dining room'' at the Lost Wonders Museum, which she was able to do thanks to a contact she has at the Ancient Egyptian Cultural Board of Anthropology.
Amber sits down and tells the girls that Nina won't be able to be there because she's about to give birth, that she's sorry about that because she would have loved to be with them but that she invited her fiancé Rich to accompany her instead. KT asks her how rich he is but Amber tells her that his name is Rich, that all her money came from her fashion line and that all she needs is a man who adores her.
Amber takes off his coat and the girls notice a strange necklace hanging from her neck, suddenly the eyes of the sarcophagus behind them turn red surprisingly but the girls don't notice it. Amber confesses that she stole it from one of the boxes in the attic of Anubis' House, the girls tell her that that's stealing but Amber doesn't care and insists that it was just collecting dust in a bunch of unopened boxes.
Suddenly Rich arrives with gifts and KT asks him about his job, laughing he answers that he is a restorer of old books, that it is a fascinating process but KT looks bewildered.
The Chef arrives and tells them that he is a chef specialized in ancient Egyptian cuisine. Amber and KT do not understand what kind or class of food it is and when the chef proceeds to explain to them Amber interrupts him asking about Joy, who quickly crosses the door apologizing for being late. Mara asks her that, during the phone call, Joy said that she would give a surprise, so Joy takes off her coat and surprises the girls with her pregnancy. As Joy takes a seat, Amber says that she finds it curious how both Nina and Joy are expecting a baby considering that everyone would think that she would be the first to get pregnant... Rich tells her he can't wait to see mini Ambers walking around the world.
The chef returns with a cocktail called the Twisted Sphinx, which looks simple because it contains only traditional ingredients, suddenly the eyes of the sarcophagus behind her turn red again and the chef goes into a trance where he seems to throw a red liquid over one of the cocktails. Rich decides to try it but accidentally spills that same cocktail on Amber, who laments for ruining her Valentino.
Joy suddenly says that she remembers when they threw water on Nina, KT also reminds her when Patricia also threw juice on her. While naming Nina, a voice is heard from the sarcophagus that also names her, then a strange black nobulusa appears and Nina makes herself present to everyone's surprise. Nina is in a trance and tries to take Amber's necklace but everyone starts screaming and KT throws her cocktail at Nina, waking her up from the possession, then she asked what she was doing there when she was supposed to be in the hospital giving birth.
Mara does some research from her computer and concludes that the Amber necklace belongs to the female pharaoh Hatshepsut, and also realizes that they are in the tomb of said pharaoh, that when it was removed from the place and used it has caused her to awaken and that is why she now possesses people. Returning it to its place, that is, to the tomb, will solve the problem. Nina then asks her to remind her why she wasn't included in Sibuna before. Mara introduces KT and Nina tells her that she heard a lot about her to which KT says the same but also adds that she is Team Fabian and apologizes for throwing the drink at her.
Joy then insists that the necklace be returned so Amber gives it to Nina and she finally leaves it on the sarcophagus. Nina is grateful that the mystery has been solved but says that she has to go back to the hospital to give birth, to which Chef tells her that the baby can wait and that she should stay and try the food instead, to which everyone looks at him dirty and Mara says that only returning the jewel will make it return to the place where the person was previously. Nina wishes everyone a Merry Christmas and disappears.
Patricia walks through the door unexpectedly and everyone greets her, then she asks about Joy since she didn't see her there with the others, then Joy appears and says that she had only bent down to tie her shoelaces. Then everyone laughs when she shows up and Patricia says she guesses she'll have to sit on the floor.
