Bubble Bass is an obese green bass who appears on SpongeBob SquarePants, voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. He was introduced as a minor recurring character in the first season and disappeared from the show afterward, but then became a more prominent part of the cast, usually as a recurring antagonist, starting midway through the ninth season.

Bubble Bass is one of the few people in Bikini Bottom that the normally friendly-to-a-fault SpongeBob does not like or get along well with. In his debut episode, "Pickles", Bubble Bass challenges SpongeBob's ability to cook when the latter seemingly forgets to place pickles on his Krabby Patty (he actually hides them under his tongue), making SpongeBob briefly doubt himself.

After making brief appearances in the episodes "F.U.N." and "Fools in April", Bubble Bass was seemingly dropped from the show, though he had brief appearances in at least two crossover video games. However, following a brief cameo in "Plankton's Good Eye" in the eighth season, he started making more appearances in later episodes, getting major focus in the episode "Moving Bubble Bass" and even having a starring role in the episodes "Swamp Mates" and "Bubble Bass's Tab". Despite his mutual animosity towards SpongeBob, he took part in organizing the surprise party in "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout".
