CBS is a broadcast television network available on over-the-air antenna that has many affiliates all around the USA. In 2019, CBS Corporation merged with Viacom, which owns Nickelodeon, to form ViacomCBS, later Paramount Global.

From 2000 to 2006, CBS had a deal with MTV Networks to form a weekend morning block named "Nick Jr. on CBS" that airs Nick Jr. shows. Between 2002 and 2004, it was temporarily known as "Nick on CBS" and aired many Nicktoons alongside the Nick Jr. programming, before returning to being a preschool-only block. In 2006, the deal ended.

CBS premiered the "It's A SpongeBob Christmas" special in 2012, and partnered with Nickelodeon to air the NFL Slimetime, Nickmas Game and Super Bowl there.
