Christopher Joseph "Chris" Reccardi (November 24, 1964 – May 2, 2019) was an American cartoon director, animator, character designer, producer, writer and storyboard artist. On Nickelodeon, he was best known for his work on The Ren & Stimpy Show. He also worked infrequently on SpongeBob SquarePants, particularly during the fifth season. He was also credited for one season 6 episode and the second and third movies.
In 2007, he co-created and developed a pilot for Nickelodeon called The Modifyers alongside his wife Lynne Naylor.
Outside of Nickelodeon, Reccardi storyboarded for many shows, including Tiny Toon Adventures, the original Powerpuff Girls, and Samurai Jack, and had directing duties on Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!. He was also the supervising producer for the first season of Regular Show and creative director for Secret Mountain Fort Awesome.
He passed away on May 2, 2019 after suffering a heart attack while surfing in Ventura, California. He was 54 years old.
