Clarence J. "Clancy" Brown III (born January 5, 1959) is an American actor and voice actor. He is known for his roles in live action as The Kurgan in the cult classic film Highlander, Byron Hadley in the award-winning The Shawshank Redemption, Brother Justin Crowe in HBO's critically acclaimed Carnivàle, and Career Sergeant Zim in Starship Troopers. Brown also works extensively as a voice actor in animated films and TV series, notably voicing Lex Luthor in the DC animated universe and the film Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Raiden in Mortal Kombat: Defenders of the Realm, Gorrath in Megas XLR, Captain Black and Ratso in Jackie Chan Adventures, Otto in Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go!, and Destro in G.I. Joe: Renegades.
His most notable role is as the voice of Mr. Krabs in SpongeBob SquarePants, a role he reprised in all of the show's movies (however, he has oddly never voiced Mr. Krabs in any of the video games). He also voiced Vice-Principal Estes Pangborn in All Grown Up!, Barkmeat in an episode of Catscratch, Long Feng in five episodes of Avatar: The Last Airbender, Porkpie in an episode of Hey Arnold!, and Dogpound/Rahzar in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
