"Doggone It" is the 3rd episode of The Fresh Beat Band.
Summary[]
The episode starts off with Marina playing drums outside of the apartment. Kiki and Shout come out of the apartment as they are about to get ready to jam in the park. The only person that was missing was Twist. He was still in the apartment. He eventually came out with a flashlight and a hard hat with a flashlight attached to it. Oddly enough, Twist thought that they were going to jam in the dark when really, they were going to jam in the park. The other Fresh Beats clarified that to him, and he put away his nighttime gear. Before they started dancing, the Fresh Beats put on sunblock since it's a sunny day. When Shout, Kiki, and Marina put on their sunblock, their faces were all different colors. Shout's face turned green, Kiki's face turned blue, and Marina's face turned purple. After they rubbed in the sunblock, Twist told them that they were good to go, and they sang the song "Let's Dance Everyone".
After the song ends, Reed is seen running by with a dog on a leash. He revealed that the dog's name is Banjo, and he was walking him for a friend. The Fresh Beats eventually went to the park to start practicing their song. But while they were practicing, Shout kept howling like a dog. Turns out, it wasn't Shout howling, it was Banjo! He came over to the park when he heard the Fresh Beats practicing their song. Reed eventually gets there too. While he was there, Banjo snatched Marina's drumstick away from her. The Fresh Beats tried to get the drumstick away from Banjo, but they couldn't. So Twist had an idea to get a real stick as a trade for Marina's drumstick. Twist eventually got the drumstick from Banjo and threw it to Marina, but instead of taking the stick, Banjo took Twist's headphones. As the Fresh Beats are chasing Banjo for Twist's headphones, they sing the song "No Problem We Can't Solve".
The song ends, and the Fresh Beats get Twist's headphones, but they don't get Banjo. Luckily, Twist has a good nose, so he uses his sense of smell to figure out that Banjo went towards the apartment. The Fresh Beats go to the apartment, and then Twist makes loud dog noises in order to summon Banjo. Banjo eventually comes to the apartment and hides and camouflages himself in multiple places, so the Fresh Beats can't find him. Banjo eventually dresses up in a silly costume in which Twist thinks he is an actual person. Twist eventually figured out that it was Banjo, but as soon as he figured it out, Banjo ran out of the apartment building to go to the park, which caused the Fresh Beats to run after him again.
The Fresh Beats made it to the park but couldn't find Banjo, and they were understandably worn out. Twist then has an idea that they go to the pet store and get a giant remote-controlled dog biscuit and use it as bait to get Banjo to come back. Marina agrees that it is a cool idea, but she contrasts the idea by suggesting that they use something they already have to get Banjo to come back. Since the Fresh Beats don't know what Banjo likes, they decided to ask Reed. Reed says that Banjo loves music, and since the Fresh Beats love music too, Kiki uses her violin to lure Banjo towards them. The violin music starts to play, and Banjo starts coming towards them. Eventually, Kiki started to play lower notes on her violin, which repelled Banjo away from them. Kiki went back to playing higher notes, and Banjo came back to them. Due to that scenario, Kiki observes that Banjo loves music with high notes.
The Fresh Beats and Reed lured Banjo towards the park, where they could finally start playing their song! As the Fresh Beats started to play their song, Banjo looked like he wanted to play music with them too. Banjo leaves the park, and it looked like he was escaping, but he was actually getting his other friends so they could jam along too. After he gets his friends, the song "Doggone It" plays. After the song ends, Twist pulls out a tennis ball for Banjo to chase, and Shout agrees that it was a great day.
