I've always wanted to do a real rescue. Sometimes I practice rescuing penguins, but they never say 'Thank you'... or anything... except 'Honk!'
―Everest

Everest is a major character of the Nick Jr. series PAW Patrol. She debuted in the Season 2 episode, "The New Pup". Her job as a snow and mountain rescuer. The official website states she is the oldest pup.

Biography[]

Everest is a Siberian Husky who lives in the South Pole when she saved Jake, who was just about to fall off a snow cliff. She was then told about the PAW Patrol, whom she got to meet near the end of "The New Pup." She was made an official member (with her own badge) by Ryder during a camping trip before the episode ended. So far, Everest is the mountain and snow rescuer of the PAW Patrol and the second female member.

Personality[]

Everest is an enthusiastic, kind, and helpful pup who loves performing rescues. She is very good friends with Jake, whom she is very affectionate towards. Even before she joined the PAW Patrol, she enjoyed rescuing penguins. She went out of her way to help Jake when they first met, by quickly offering him shelter in her igloo, guiding him through the storm, and digging a makeshift shelter to warm him up. Everest admits that she felt rather lonely without anyone to talk to. She was overjoyed to stay with him.

She also loves to eat anything liver-flavored, such as liver-flavored pup treats, and liver itself.

She is shown to be quite hyperactive and playful. Everest likes snow-related activities, as well as anything to do with nature. She is more tomboyish than Skye, but they're still best friends despite their differences.

She wears a black collar around her neck with her pup tag attached. She also wears a bluish-teal beanie hat with a yellow-orange trim which she is rarely seen without. Her Mighty Pups-themed pup pack contains an ice board. In "Pups Save a Frozen Camp Out", she was given a jet pack with a grappling hook for air-based rescues.

In the Mighty Pups, Super Paws sub-series, her vehicle is a silver and purple snowcat with teal and orange highlights.

In "Jet to the Rescue", her vehicle is a silver jet with teal and orange highlights that has two modes: stealth and rescue. When in rescue mode, its wings pop out and is equipped with a grapple.

In "Skye's Road Trip Rescue", she is given a longboard equipped with rocket boosters, much like her snowboard. She uses it to help Skye and Liberty search for the missing baby animals, as well as rescue a baby bunny from an eagle. Along with Liberty's mini-scooter, it is stored in the bottom front compartment of Skye's camper.

Skills and Abilities[]

Everest is good at "belly-bogganing" (sliding down hills on her belly), and is good at saving people, like the rest of the PAW Patrol. She saved Jake in "The New Pup" by biting on to his pants, just before he fell off a cliff. She is very good with digging holes in snow banks.
