"Field Trip" is the second segment of the second episode of Hey Arnold!, partnered with The Little Pink Book.
Synopsis[]
The students of P.S. 118 are going on a field trip to the aquarium downtown, and all the kids on the bus are excited, because they all haven't been there in a while. Except Arnold. He was sick when they all went, and then Gerald raves on about the monster they had seen there, Lockjaw, feared by people far and wide. Once they get there, while the tour guide gives out the rules, Gerald leads Arnold (and the rest of the class) to the exhibit where Lockjaw is. Brainy pushes a button which sets off a informational speech about the "monster"... but once he emerges, this "terror of the deep" everyone was talking about is really and old, worn-out turtle with graffiti on his shell. Harold calls him a fake and throws ice cream on him, and the students protest. Arnold, however, feels really bad for him and comforts Lockjaw.
Once he gets home, Arnold, constantly thinking about Lockjaw, gets Grandma to go with him to break him out of the aquarium. The guards are busy, so it is easy to get to the exhibit. They washed the graffiti off of his shell, and struggle to push him out. They use a skateboard to push him to the docks, in which he is set free into the water. Arnold thanks Grandma, and she walks home suggesting some turtle soup, making him sigh.
