
Gene Simmons (born Chaim Weitz, August 25, 1949) is an Israeli-American rock bassist, singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and businessman. Known as "The Demon", he is the bassist/vocalist of Kiss, a hard rock band he co-founded in the early 1970s.
He voiced himself when his likeness appeared with his bandmates in the The Fairly OddParents special "Wishology!" He also voiced the sea monster in the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "20,000 Patties Under the Sea".
He is credited as executive producer for the Drake & Josh episode "Sheep Thrills". He also created the Canadian animated TV series My Dad the Rock Star, which ran first-run in the United States on Nickelodeon.
