Biography

Gerald Giraffe is a supporting character who mostly appears in playgroup episodes. He is the son of Daddy Giraffe, a zookeeper and artist, and Mummy Giraffe. He is the grandson of Grandpa Giraffe, an employee at a charity shop. He debuted in the episode "Gerald Giraffe". Gerald is the tallest student at playgroup. In Art House Day, his house is revealed. In The Carnival, he is seen playing the guitar in Mr. Bull's band, though he is never seen playing the guitar ever again.

Personality

Gerald Giraffe is friendly, caring, and helpful. He is friends with the children at playgroup and can get along with them pretty well. Being tall, he is also good at helping others take down things from high surfaces. He also once rescued Tiddles the Tortoise from a treetop for Doctor Hamster. Sometimes, though, Gerald can be embarrassed or feel different being the tallest because this means he cannot do a lot of things the same way that his friends can. In Art House Day, he offers Peppa and Suzy cheeseballs as a snack. Gerald can be a bit shy sometimes and dislikes hide-and-seek because of his height.

Description

Gerald has light pink triangle shaped ears, and a golden-yellow face and body. He has a dark pink nose with black nostrils and a dark pink mouth. He has the same nose as Pedro Pony and Molly Mole. Gerald has 5 light brown giraffe prints going down his neck. He wears a blue shirt and black shoes, and his tail is a yellow line with 3 small brown lines attached.

Trivia

• Due to an error in the episode In the Future, he was not seen in the episode with the grown up kids.
• In the Latin American Spanish dub, Gerald's name is changed to José Jirafa, while in the Brazilian dub, the name is translated as Gerald Girafa.
