William Glenn Shadix (April 15, 1952 – September 7, 2010), was an American actor known as Otho in Tim Burton's horror comedy film Beetlejuice and as the voice of the Mayor of Halloween Town in The Nightmare Before Christmas. Shadix had also appeared in films such as Heathers, Demolition Man, and Dunston Checks In along with guest appearances in TV shows such as Seinfeld and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Shadix provided the voice of the Guard Monster in the Aaahh!!! Real Monsters episode "Snorched If You Do, Snorched If You Don't" and in two episodes of All Grown Up!, including "The Finster Who Stole Christmas" where he voiced Santa Claus and the Tree.
He died of blunt trauma to his head after an accidental fall in the kitchen at his condominium in Birmingham, Alabama at the age of 58. Shadix had mobility problems and was in a wheelchair.
