Great Lakes City is a city featured in The Loud House and the main setting of the spin-off The Casagrandes. It is first seen in "The Loudest Mission: Relative Chaos", in which Bobby, Ronnie Anne, and their mother moved there to live with their extended family. It is over 200 miles from Royal Woods; according to Bobby, it is a three-hour drive between the two cities.[1]
While it is well-known that Royal Woods is in Michigan, it has never been officially mentioned which state Great Lakes City is in. Given the name, though, the city is likely located in one of the states that borders the Great Lakes.
Areas of interest[]
Casagrande Apartment[]
This is the apartment building in which the Casagrandes and Santiagos live. It is an apartment complex located on a corner street, owned by Mr. Scully. Rosa Casagrande is the building's manager. In the episode "Friended!", Sid Chang and her family move in to the apartment above the Casagrandes'.
Right below the apartment complex is the family bodega. It's a convenience store where Bobby and Hector work.
Chavez University[]
Lori mentions that once she graduates from high school, she would move in with Bobby so they can go to college together, where Bobby's uncle Carlos teaches. However, Lori would ultimately instead get a scholarship at Fairway University.
Cesar Chavez Academy[]
Cesar Chavez Academy is the school that Ronnie Anne, Sid, Nikki, Casey and Sameer attend.
GLART (Great Lakes Area Rapid Transit)[]
This is the subway that Ronnie Anne and Sid ride to and from school. Stanley Chang works as a subway conductor here.
Great Lakes City Zoo[]
The city's local zoo. Becca Chang works here as a zoologist.
High Seas[]
A pirate-themed dinner show that CJ often wants to be a part of.
Downtown[]
Although not fully seen, it is revealed that the city has a Jumbotron, Sky Needle building, and a central plaza park where Ronnie Anne and her friends hang out at.
Burger Blast[]
A fast food restaurant that opens up on right across the street from the Casagrande Bodega in the episode "Fast Feud".
Hi 'n' Buy[]
A new grocery store in the city. It is a serious competitor to the Casagrande Bodega.
Margarita's Beauty[]
A beauty salon owned by Margarita.
Outside the City[]
Fairway University[]
A golf-themed university that specializes in training and developing golfers, located just outside Great Lakes City and 208.6 miles from Royal Woods. Lori moved out to begin attending this university in The Loud House episode "Schooled!". Carlos gave a guest lecture at this college in "Don't You Fore-get About Me".
