James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born April 21, 1947), better known as Iggy Pop, is an American singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer, known as the "Godfather of Punk". He was the vocalist of lyricist of the proto-punk band the Stooges, who formed in 1967 and have disbanded and reunited multiple times since. Pop's music econmpassed many styles throughout his career, including garage rock, punk rock, hard rock, heavy metal, art rock, new wave, jazz, blues, and electronic.
For Nickelodeon, he was one of the celebrity singers for "This World is Something New to Me" in The Rugrats Movie, and also played Mr. Zellweger in Snow Day.
