James Garrett is the roommate of Michael and Logan in season 4. He becomes Zoey's boyfriend.

Biography[]

James is from Santa Fe, New Mexico. He first joins PCA and interacts with the gang in "Rumor of Love". He replaces Chase as Michael and Logan's new roommate, much to their dismay. They make it very clear that they don't want him there, and he eventually gets the point and leaves.

There was also a rumor going on that him and Zoey were dating, which was started by Logan to try to get rid of Logan as "competition" for girls. Michael then comes to James' new bedroom and apologizes, inviting him back to live with them.

Later, they get Logan to admit that the rumor he spread about James and Zoey was untrue and helps the girls get back at Logan. He also hates Michael's Clackers. Later, James and Zoey, after finally getting rid of the rumor of their relationship, kiss and become a couple.

James and Zoey continue their relationship from "Anger Management" until part 1 of "Chasing Zoey", the series finale. In "Chasing Zoey", James gifts Zoey a locket with an inscription on it saying "I love you", but Zoey realizes that she is unable to reciprocate his feelings.

James understands, and they decide to remain friends. James isn't seen again after he kisses Zoey goodbye cheek.

Appearances[]

James made a total presence in 9 episodes out of 65 total throughout the series. He was not introduced until the Season 4 "Rumor of Love" and is absent for Season 4 episodes "Trading Places," "Fake Roommate," "Alone at PCA," and Part 2 of "Chasing Zoey." He is also one of only two main characters who was never present in every episode of a full season, the other being Dustin Brooks. Like Dana from Season 1, James is only in the main cast for one season. Part 1 of "Chasing Zoey" is the only Zoey 101 TV movie that James appears in. He appears in the fewest number of episodes of any main character on the series.
