Kathleen Freeman (February 17, 1923 – August 23, 2001) was an American film, television, voice actress, and stage actress. In a career that spanned more than 50 years, she portrayed acerbic maids, secretaries, teachers, busybodies, nurses, and battle-axe neighbors and relatives, almost invariably to comic effect. In film she is perhaps best remembered for appearing in 11 Jerry Lewis comedies in the 1950s and 60s, The Blues Brothers and its sequel, and Naked Gun 33⅓: The Final Insult. She also voiced Mrs. Crackshell in the original DuckTales and Miss Kisskillya in Detention.
On Nickelodeon, she provided the voices of Margret in Rugrats and Mrs. Gordon in As Told by Ginger.
On August 23, 2001, she died of lung cancer at age 78 at Lenox Hill Hospital. The As Told by Ginger episode "No Hope For Courtney" was dedicated in her memory.
