Kenneth "Ken" Redgrove is a recurring character in the Nickelodeon puppet series Mr. Meaty. He is the older brother of one of the show's main protagonists, Josh Redgrove.
Background[]
Ken is depicted as an aggressive and overbearing figure in Josh's life. He often appears at the Mr. Meaty restaurant with his best friend Darryl, to bother Josh and his friend Parker.
Personality[]
Ken embodies the stereotypical bully older brother. He is obnoxious, demanding, and seems to revel in making Josh's life difficult. His interactions with Josh are almost always antagonistic, involving him making unreasonable demands, and insulting Josh.
Appearance[]
Ken is portrayed as a young man with long blond hair, a mustache, and a prominent nose. He wears biker-style clothing, which includes a black leather jacket over a blue hoodie and a red bandana, the latter of which was only added in season 2.
It can be assumed that he took after his father, as he doesn't have much resemblance to his mother and brother.
Interactions[]
- Darryl: Ken's best friend. Their relationship is based on a shared enjoyment of tormenting others, particularly Josh and Parker.
- Josh Redgrove: Ken is consistently antagonistic and condescending towards his younger brother, Josh. He takes pleasure in tormenting him and often uses his physical and social superiority to intimidate him.
- Parker Dinkleman: Ken usually bullies Parker along with Josh, however he called him a dweeb.
