Lay Lay is the titular main protagonist (alongside Sadie) of the Nickelodeon buddy comedy, That Girl Lay Lay.
Description and Personality[]
Lay Lay is an easy going and bubbly girl who happens to be a personal affirmation app but her friend Sadie wished on a shooting star she would come to life, and she did. She likes to be the center of attention (in a good way) and likes to remind everyone to be themselves and always stay positive. Since Lay Lay is an avatar, she is eager to learn how to be a human if she doesn't get stuff right away. She also has a gift when it comes to rapping and proves to do it very well. Lay Lay and her best friend Sadie decide to keep her identity as an avatar a secret worried that someone might want to send her away or she will get experimented on. Sadie's little brother Marky discovers Lay Lay's secret and starts to blackmail her which causes her to glitch because she is being overworked. She also decides to tell Sadie's parents she is an avatar because she is tired of lying to them all the time; this turns out to go well because now they help Lay Lay protect her secret.

Sadie was the lonely new girl at her new high school. Wanting to make a friend, she wishes that Lay Lay from the affirmation app was real. Lay Lay soon comes to life and instantly becomes best friends with Sadie.
Powers and Abilities[]
- Avatar Powers: Lay Lay acquired the following abilities when she came out of Sadie's phone.
- Freezing Time: Lay Lay showed Sadie she could freeze time by snapping her fingers and can unfreeze time by snapping them again like pressing pause on a video.
- Invisibility: Lay Lay can turn invisible when she holds, her breath like an app going into rest mode and she uses this ability if she doesn't want to be seen.
- Super Speed: Lay Lay can get super speed when she claps her hands then moves and found out when she started to move super-fast after clapping her hands. This is like when you speed up a video.
- Teleportation: Lay Lay can teleport when she sneezes but can't control where she will teleport to
- Cloning Power: When Lay Lay plugs her nose when she sneezes, instead of teleporting she can clone herself like when you copy and paste a video and/or image.
- Reversing Time: Lay Lay is able to reverse time on objects and people when she blinks her eyes multiple times in a row.
- Glitches: Lay Lay can start to glitch as seen in "Ain't That a Glitch" when she is being overworked.
- She can also glitch if she stops using her powers for too long which can prompt them to not work right as seen in "Powers to the People".
