The following is a list of characters featured in The Patrick Star Show. Please note that some of these characters have also appeared in its parent show, SpongeBob SquarePants.
A pink starfish who wears a green flowered shirt and purple swim trunks . He lives in a coffee pot-themed house with his parents, his adopted sister, Squidina and his grandfather, with a jumbotron for his room. He is the host of his own show.
Patrick's adopted sister, a purple squid who wears glasses, a light yellow polo t-shirt and a reddish-orange/orangish-red plaid skirt. She has a nerdy personality and helps Patrick produce his show.
Patrick's parents and Squidina's adopted parents. Cecil is a light green starfish who is half bald, has brown hair and mustache, and wears gray pants with a brown belt and a white shirt with a red bowtie. He is also the son of GrandPat Star. Bunny is a purple starfish who has bushy black hair, glasses, lipstick, and wears a dark-blue dress with cyan dots.
Patrick's grandfather, Squidina's adopted grandfather and Cecil's father. He is a beige starfish who has a large gray beard. He wears a green sweater and blue pants, and uses a mobility scooter to move around.
An arrogant and pessimistic turquoise octopus who wears a collared shirt and has freckles on his nose. He works as a paperboy and tries to get money from Cecil since he owes him money. He later gets a job at the Krusty Krab after falling onto the time closet's lever, sucking the mess the Stars made and restoring the restaurant back to normal.
Mr. Krabs' arch-nemesis, a tiny green copepod who is a skilled inventor with a Napoleon complex and runs the Chum Bucket. A counterpart of him, Dr. Plankenstein, also appears in stop motion.
Plankton's sentient computer who lives in the Chum Bucket laboratory and provides him with his evil plans. A counterpart of her, Plankenstein's Ex-Wife, also appears in stop motion.
