These are some bumpers that appeared on Nickelodeon during the late 1980s, throughout the 1990s, 2000s, and today.

Note: Some of the 80s bumpers appear at the end of Super Sloppy Double Dare.

Teacup Head A CGI head drinks something out of a Nickelodeon cup through his nose. His head becomes transparent revealing 3 Nickelodeon fish in his head. This bumper was used from 1986 to 1992. It was also used as closing montage for Super Sloppy Double Dare. Created by Edward Bakst and Fred/Alan.

Dino Bop Features 3 singing dinosaurs wearing neckties doo-woping along with various other dinosaurs. A Nickelodeon volcano appears at the end. This bumper was used from 1988 to 1993. Created by Joey Ahlbum and Fred/Alan.

Spelling Bee Features 3 girls spelling Nickelodeon in jumbled ways before getting it right. There were two variants; each with a different background. This bumper was used from 1992 to 1999.

Main Course Features a waiter lifting up a dish's lid to reveal strange different courses, including an eskimo fishing while singing, a hippo eating grass and a Viking before dropping a Nickelodeon anvil on the dish. This was used from 1987 to 1994. But reappeared on the 90s Are All That block in 2011. Created by Charlex and Fred/Alan.

Barks Features various dogs barking, ending with a pack of Nickelodeon wolves. Nickelodeon UK & Germany used to use this ident to sign off every night. In Nickelodeon US, it was an everyday bumper used from 1988 to 1995. Created by Noyes & Laybourne and Fred/Alan.

Fish Stage Featuring fish singing on a stage. This was used from 1986 to 1992. It was also used for a closing montage for Super Sloppy Double Dare. Created by David Lubell and Fred/Alan.

Doo-wop-a-saurus Once again features singing dinosaurs, but this time with blue shoes and without neckties. The dinosaurs find a little Nickelodeon tree along with a green T-rex watching TV on a chair. The dinosaurs turn around and see a purple pterodactyl flying with a walkman on. The middle dinosaur puts on Nickelodeon sunglasses at the end. It was used from 1987 to 1993. Created by Joey Ahlbum and Fred/Alan.

Pinchface Features a flying glasses-wearing face with dentures singing "Nickelodeon!" in a small room while fists with straw hats and faces says "Nick-nick-nick-nick-nick-nick!". It was used from 1992 to 1998, but made a reappearance in 2011 on The 90s Are All That block. Created by Colossal Pictures and Fred/Alan.

Take 50Behind the scenes of various movie sets, including a car about to go into a Nickelodeon tunnel. This was used from 1985 to 1992.

Movie StarFeatures the letters which spell out Nickelodeon on a Nickelodeon logo sneaking out of a dressing room before getting caught. This was used from 1985 to 1993. Created by Colossal Pictures and Fred/Alan.

PlugFeatures a man pulling a plug and either meeting a Nickelodeon octopus, being turned upside-down, or finding a giant Nickelodeon boat. This was used from 1986 to 1992.

Apple Worms Features singing worms in an apple. This was used from 1987 to 1994.

Origami Has hands making things out of paper while sound effects play to the corresponding item and at the end a man says "Nick(pause)elodeon!" and then the hands crumple up all the papers. This was used from 1986 to 2000. Created by Noyes & Laybourne and Fred/Alan.

Barnyard Has various kids singing "Nick nick nick nick na-nick nick nick, Nickelodeon! Nick Is Kids!" while we see a set of barnyard models. It was used from 1992 to 2003.

Easy Groove 3 guys sing Nickelodeon doo-wop next to a Nickelodeon billboard while construction workers change the Nickelodeon logo to various shapes. This bumper was used from 1985 to 1992. Created by Jerry Lieberman and Fred/Alan.

MontageFeatures many characters from 80s and 90s ID's, with the 3 guys from the Easy Groove ID singing the Nickelodeon jingle. It starts off with the guys over part of the Dog and Parrot ID, complete with the parrot, then the Flying TV Monster comes in and the Nickelodeon text scrolls from right-to-left as a pineapple, a banana and an orange from the Fruits ID, a Nicktoons blob, dinosaurs and the horse with a cowboy riding it walk around. The singing frog appears and then the lollipops from the 1987 top-of-hour ID, which zoom in to reveal a shot of the Take 50 ID complete with the pterodactyl from the Doo-Wop-A-Saurus ID flying, with the 3 guys on the right, then a dinosaur walks around, followed by a dinosaur from the Dino Bop ID appearing and then the Nickelodeon fish from the 1985 top-of-hour ID. Then, the anteater eating his bowl of spaghetti appears over a shot of the animated road from the '85 top-of-hour ID. As this happens, the Nicktoons blob, fruits and dinosaurs walk around again, then the Nickelodeon fish swims around a shot of the Aliens ID with a dinosaur appearing, then a circle wipe to a shot of the Viking with the weapon from the Main Course ID (complete with the Nickelodeon sign followed by the anvil), which fades to the Nickelodeon cup zooming out from the Nick Brew ID and finally the bumper cars with the cat and the dog from the '85 top-of-hour ID and then the Easy Groove guys appear again with a Nickelodeon splat as the fruits, dinosaurs and a horse run around again and the singing frog runs and stops at the left side of the screen. The ID wipes out with a TV turn-off effect.

This bumper was frequently used as an opening and closing sequence to music videos. It was also used on VHS tapes of Nickelodeon shows that were released from 1993 and 1999. In the Sony Wonder and Paramount VHS releases, the closing variant is not included. Instead, after the Nickelodeon logo with copyrights, it goes straight to the Sony Wonder logo and the Paramount logo.

Paper Chase Has a pair of scissors cutting out a Nickelodeon paper doll who tries to outrun the scissors. This bumper was used from 1992 to 1998.

Dragon & Frog, Aligator & Frog A Michigan J. Frog-esque frog sings on a dragon. In another version of this bumper, he sings on an aligator. This was used from 1986 to 1992. Created by David Lubell and Fred/Alan.

Bulldog Crew A rhinoceros, a lion, a snake, and a crocodile bark like dogs then sing "Bow-wow-wow-wow-wow-ya! Nickelodeon! Nickelodeon! Nickelodeon!". There is another version with the audio from the "Nick Writing" ID where they sing "Nick nick nick nick na-nick nick nick, Nickelodeon!". At the end of both versions, a Nickelodeon tree appears above all the animals. This ID was used from 1987 to 1992. Created by Joey Ahlbum and Fred/Alan.

Sleeping Boy Features a sleepy boy with Nickelodeon logo dream clouds appearing as he walks to bed. This was used from 1985 to 1992

Aliens Has singing aliens in a spaceship going to a drive-in movie on Jupiter. A Nickelodeon saturn appears on a TV screen at the end with other Nickelodeon logos at the bottom. This ID was used from 1985 to 1996. Created by David Lubell and Fred/Alan.

Rudolph Features Rudolph with a Nickelodeon nose flying, before discovering he can't fly. He uses the nose as a parachute, and it gets into his antlers.

Pattycake Has shadows playing pattycake in space. This was used from 1985 to 1992.

Rugrats (Tommy & Dil) Features Tommy & Dil fighting over a Nickelodeon ball which turns into a splat. This was used from 1999 to 2004.

Never Done Features a boy finding a gumball which turns into various objects like a ball, a telescope which shows nick clips, a heart, a monster, a skateboard, and a giant ball, which all the kids that were shown in the bumper stand on.

3D Laughing Boy Intro A blob that turns into a fish, a dinosaur, the Nicktoons splat, a blob man, and then the splat again. This was used as a lead-in to Nicktoon broadcasts from 1992 to 2000.  The audio of this bumper is featured as the second track on The Best of Nicktoons. It was later recreated as a bumper for The Splat.

Nicktoons 1995a

The Angry Beavers (Underwear Battle) Features Daggett and Norbert in an underwear battle. They take off underwear one by one, when Dag eventually runs out of underwear and rips his fur off. He then stretches Norb's Nickelodeon underwear and puts himself in it. This was used from 1999 to 2002, and later in 2015/16 on The Splat.

Cave Drawing Features a man who draws a TV, turns the TV on, and animals run toward the TV. This was used from 1995 to 2003.

Top of the Hour 1985-early 1987The ID starts with a TV (with the screen saying Nickelodeon) with some shapes emerging from it. A parody of Salvador Dalí's Persistence of Memory is seen. Nickelodeon clocks spin their hands and then melt, then flying calendars with Nickelodeon on top of each one are shown over a shot of a background change from summer to winter, then a structure with searchlights on it, with 1985, 1986 or 1987 (depending on the year) with Nickelodeon below it, then we cut to panning down an animated road and stop at a Nickelodeon arrow road sign, then it cuts to a road with men racing in karts with hot dogs, with a Nickelodeon bun on top of each hot dog, then a Nickelodeon rocket passes by an animated city, then various people with different types of clothes and accessories appear against different color backgrounds, a Mona Lisa image with googly eyes, a Nickelodeon heart beats once, a robot with human ears appears, a Nickelodeon haystack appears, a gorilla with a bow tie that spins once with a tuxedo, a Nickelodeon ice cream scoop is seen falling on an ice cream cone, then a cat and a dog drive bumper cars (when they collide into each other, the Nickelodeon text appears), then at the bottom of an animated ocean a little fish gets eaten by a bigger fish, with others getting eaten by a Nickelodeon fish, then we cut to a front seat ride on a roller coaster going through a Nickelodeon tunnel with a clown head, and finally the same Nickelodeon television with the same objects emitted. There is also a couple in space-like attire as well as a robotic dog watching it, then the Nickelodeon logo jumps out of the TV and fills the entire screen and landing as a polygon with spikes on a blue background. This one features the Jive Five singing doo-wop with the Nickelodeon jingle at the beginning and end of the ID, which was heard most often when it first appeared on TV. Top of the Hour

Dancing Fruits A pineapple, a banana, and an orange sing Orange You Glad and fall into a Nickelodeon splat. This ID was used from 1986 to 1993.

Silly Putty Objects appear with Nickelodeon spelled in jumbled ways. The first object says Odel-Onde-Nick then changes to a second object saying Nickel-On-Deo, which changes to another object saying Ode-Nickel-On before changing to the last object that spells Nickelodeon.

Hey Arnold Bedroom Features Arnold going into his bedroom, turning on his CD player, flipping open his couch (with Gerald on it), and then turning his TV on to Nickelodeon. This was used from 1997 to 2002, and re-aired on The Splat.

Oddparents New Episode Premiere Features a male voice who says "And now, a brand new episode of Nickelodeon's New Nicktoon, The Fairly OddParents." Cosmo and Wanda dance and disappear into a poof cloud.

Doug and Porkchop Doug walks by, holding a large board with the Nickelodeon logo on it, (with Porkchop, sitting on the other end of the board). Doug stops walking and looks back at Porkchop. He drops the board on his foot and Porkchop slides down the board and into Doug's arms. This was used from 1991 to 2003.

Fairly OddParents (Heart) Cosmo and Wanda, in grayscale, appear in front of a grey heart-shaped Nickelodeon logo. They promptly have themselves and the logo colored. Then the logo tips over and drenches them in orange paint. This ID usually appeared right before a Fairly OddParents episode from 2001 to 2004.

Lockers The ID starts off in black-and-white with a shot of people at a school running through the halls to class. A black Nickelodeon splat is seen behind the lockers, which then turns orange. This was used from 1992 to 1998.

Arnold Will Be Back In A Beat Features Hey Arnold! pictures and a young male voice saying "Arnold Will Be Back In a Beat".

Gooey Text A shoe squishes the Nickelodeon text, then picks it up.

Jimmy Neutron: Splat Features Jimmy Neutron pushing a button, which forms a splat ball. The splat ball then falls on jimmy. Used from 2003 to 2005.

Lizard Features a green lizard eating parts of an orange background. The bumper's audio is the same as the origami bumper. This was used from 1986 to 1992. Created by Noyes & Laybourne and Fred/Alan.

Rugrats (Angelica)Features Angelica comes by and then sings. She sings too loud which causes the white background to turn to an orange background with Nickelodeon on the screen and we see Angelica as she shrug to the viewers. This was used from 1999 to 2004.

Pickled PlanktonFeatures two live action hands making a pickled plankton then Plankton says "Okay, I'm ready for my krabby patty".

ToastFeatures a toaster popping out a Nickelodeon toast, followed by a female voice saying "Now back to the show."

Ren & Stimpy (Bathtub) Features Ren taking a bath in a Nickelodeon bathtub. He makes noises and moves around in it, then Stimpy jumps out the water holding a soap bar. This was used from 1991 to 2002.

SpaceFeatures three kids outside in night, as a firecracker passes by. It shoots up to space as it hits an astronaut, a satellite that starts spinning uncontrollably and finally a moon with a very angry look on its' face. The firecracker then pops and the Nickelodeon logo appears. This bumper was used from 1985 to 1992. It was also used for a closing montage on Super Sloppy Double Dare.

Big Beast QuintetFeatures an alligator, a bird, a rhino, a rabbit, and another animal walking down a road wearing shirts with scrambled letters on them, before changing the shirts to spell Nickelodeon correctly. A TV with a face on it appears as the shirts merge to form a Nickelodeon logo above the TV's face as the animals continue to walk down the road. This was used from 1985 to 1994.

Calling CadesFeatures the lyrics to the jingle from the Big Beast Quintet ID on a journal, with a polygon saying Nick and a vertical #1 saying Nickelodeon. This was used from 1987 to 1994. Created by Noyes & Laybourne and Fred/Alan.

Orange You GladOn a journal, the words Orange You Glad You Got Your Nickelodeon appear word-by--word. The words appear two more times with the text "You're Watching" appearing, then a Nickelodeon ribbon appears at the end. This was used from 1986 to 1995 and returned on 1999 during its' 20th Anniversary. Created by Noyes & Laybourne and Fred/Alan.

Nick Is Every DayFeatures either a female voice saying "Every Monday, Every Tuesday, Every Wednesday, Every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, even Sunday, Nick Is Every Day", or a Nickelodeon Sun (The sun is followed by Weekday names and a man saying "Nick Is Every Day"). This was used from 1990 to 1996.

Brushing TeethFeatures an apple and a banana which turns into a pan, eggs, and a sausage. The pan and the eggs turn into a monster, and the sausage turns into a toothbrush.

SandwichFeatures a piece of bread getting topped with cheese, lettuce, and baloney, as well as ketchup and mustard getting mixed together, and seasoning being the Nickelodeon text, then the sandwich takes a bite itself.

NoseFeatures a dog on a spinning Nickelodeon logo, then we see a man sucking everything in the room with his nose

African AnimalsAn elephant, a giraffe, and a leopard appear in different colors on different backgrounds, then a group of albatrosses appears, and finally a Nickelodeon rhino on a black background. This was used from 1987 to 1993.

Jack-In-The-BoxFeatures a jack in the box with nick text.

CerealFeatures a tiny singing guy inside a cup pouring the cereal into the bowl, with a Nickelodeon cereal box. This bumper is in the style of a Sesame Street segment called Teeny Little Super Guy. This was used from 1987 to 1992.

FrogFeatures a frog eating the letters and spitting them out. This is a recent one from 2014.

Nickelodeon SongFeatures characters from The Penguins of Madagascar, TUFF Puppy, The Fairly Odd Parents, SpongeBob SquarePants, Planet Sheen, and Fanboy & Chum Chum singing a song.

SheetFeatures live-action kids grabbing an orange Nickelodeon Sheet, 2 kids jumping.

Nicktoons - IntroFeatures a green artist painting something on the artboard, then when he gets done, he kisses the art and shows that he drawn the Nicktoons logo on the board. Outro: We see the Nicktoons logo on the artboard, then the artist bursts his head into it. This was used from 1991 to 1992. The audio of this bumper, titled "Artman Open", can be found on The Best of Nicktoons.

BandFeatures a dog, a cat, a chicken and a human. The dog blows his trumpet shouting "Nick!" (and the speech bubble saying it appears) as the Nick logo appears out of the trumpet, then the cat says "El!" as "El" appears, and a chicken sings "Oooo!" in an opera voice as "Oooo" appears (then changes to only one "O") and the cat says "Dee!" as the word "Dee" appears, and the human hits the cymball with a drum stick and the words combine together with the "On" appearing to spell out "Nickelodeon" (with "Dee" changing to "De") and the dog, the cat and the chicken say the name of the channel. This was used from 1987 to 1993.

MazeFeature 2 kids running in a maze and discovering weird things such as orange butterflies, a giant orange flower that the kids jump on, and an orange bubble that chases the 2 kids. At the end, the 2 kids end up leaving the maze. This was used from 2000 to 2003.

GeeseThis one was from 2005-2006. It featured two geese flying through the sky and making goose noises. The last "goose" was a Nickelodeon splat that played the Nickelodeon jingle instead of making goose sounds.

PoodleA poodle is shaved, revealing the Nick logo on its skin. This is a recent one from 2014.

ScribblesNickelodeon characters draw themselves. This is a pictograph bumper.

BTTS Bumper

Invader ZimA lost Nickelodeon character ID. Part of it is seen in a promo with the word "Because We Can".

ChalkZoneChalkZone characters draw a Nickelodeon balloon.

The Penguins from Madagscar (Transforming Logo) Skipper, Kowalski, Rico, and Private were transforming into the Nick logo in the orange background. Used in 2011 to 2013.
