Tice Ryan or Lt. Tice Ryan is an Ocean Shores lifegaurd and possibly emergency services coordinator. His duties as a lifeguard seems to be blurred at times as he is also seen as a leader of search and rescue missions, commanding a group of emergency boats and helicopters, or leading people in emergency situations, he seems to do it all. He is skilled at his jobs and can often be seen with a megaphone barking orders. He is highly trained, likely from being in the military. He is shown to be nice and fair, but takes his job very seriously.
Lt. Ryan has a love for powerful vehicles and big machinery. He is seen on multiple occasions having access to powerful vehicles.
In the episode, "Snow Day," he rappels from an emergency services helicopter to rescue Otto and Sam who are trapped on a faulty rollercoaster.
In the episode "Channel Surfing" he is seen driving a high powered Lifeguard speed boat. When he thinks no one is looking, is seen driving it at full throttle out to sea.
In the episode, "Hurricane Maurice," Lt. Ryan has access to a search and rescue APC vehicle. He is able to control it with ease and seems to truly enjoy handling this big rig.
He was voiced by the late R. Lee Ermey, an actor known for playing military sergeants in movies and television such as Sergeant Hartman in Full Metal Jacket.
