Madame Butterfly is the maternal figure with lots of common sense and loving support. She runs the Big Diner, the central place where the characters convene. She is a loving mother but no softie when it comes to raising her daughter, Catrina Caterpillar. Although she can be a little overprotective and sometimes too cautious, she is the one the gang turns to when they need help.

Madame Butterfly is mostly purple. She has black eyes, and a black mouth. Her antennae are black, and her wings are orange with brown, purple, and red spots. She has six legs.
