Martin Luther King Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American Baptist minister and activist who became the most visible spokesperson and leader in the civil rights movement from 1954 through 1968. He is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using the tactics of nonviolence and civil disobedience based on his Christian beliefs and inspired by the nonviolent activism of Mahatma Gandhi.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a well-known advocate of civil rights. His car stalled on the way to Washington D.C., to make his important "I Have A Dream" speech. Luckily, Uncle Charles comes to his aid by helping fix his car. Susie's Aunt T then also helps him by giving him a spare set of clean clothes. Aunt T greatly admires him and when she realizes it is Dr. Martin Luther King that she is meeting for the first time, she faints. Upon waking up she immediately takes his picture, much to his surprise.
