Sorry, Mayor Goodway, when I find Wild Wilbur's loot I'll put it on display at the Foggy Bottom Museum!
―Humdinger to Goodway

Mayor Humdinger is the main antagonist of the Nick Jr. series PAW Patrol and its films. He is the mayor of Foggy Bottom, the arch-nemesis of the PAW Patrol, the archenemy of Chase, the leader and boss of the Kitten Catastrophe Crew, and the arch-rival of Mayor Goodway and Ryder.

Personality[]

Mayor Humdinger is rather conceited, thinking his town is better than Adventure Bay in every way possible. In Season 1, while antagonistic towards Mayor Goodway, he mostly played fairly due partly to confidence in his record of winning and generally being undefeated in most of the competitions he participated in, only to lose to Mayor Goodway and the PAW Patrol.

As of Season 2, he usually cheats in order to win, showing a lack of morality and "win-at-all-costs" personality. He is also the assembler of the Kitten Catastrophe Crew, a group of mischievous cats who perform heinous deeds to support his efforts. He also became slightly more villainous in Season 2 (whereas in Season 1, he was simply antagonistic) to the point he and the Kitten Catastrophe Crew have their own secret lair and he behaves more like a stereotypical villain, such as laughing maniacally and even covertly observing the PAW Patrol through a video monitor (in "Pup-Fu!"). He is also shown to be willing to resorting to stealing something he wants, such as Wild Wilbur's hidden treasure (in "Pups Save an Outlaw's Loot") and Farmer Yumi's priceless Martial Arts scroll (in "Pup-Fu!"). He is also shown to be quite greedy in "Pups Save an Outlaw's Loot". However, his plans can occasionally backfire due to his own overconfidence and lack of forethought, resulting in him needing to be rescued by the PAW Patrol.

Appearance[]

Mayor Humdinger has dark brown eyes, light peachy skin, and blonde hair that is bald on the top of his head with sideburns. He also has a big bushy blonde curled mustache. He wears a purple dress jacket with pockets on the waist over a white shirt, an white ascot, purple dress pants, pink socks, brown shoes with white laces, and a purple top hat. His standard outfit resembles Rich Uncle Pennybags (the Monopoly man). In Season 1, he wore an aviator's cap, goggles and a light purple, gray, white striped scarf, and lacked the top hat and he had a light purple shirt instead of a white dress shirt and ascot. In Season 6 onwards, starting with "Pups Save the Honey", the texture of his mustache and hair was improved, and his outfit gained more detail, including buttons, a blue handkerchief, a pocket square, and a more detailed suit. The blazer became light purple with light purple edging on the pockets. His shoes changed to brown loafers. He is also shown to wear purple underwear with white cat pictures on it. As of Season 11, his jacket gains a buttoned tab on the back.

In "PAW Patrol: The Movie", Mayor Humdinger's appearance has changed and is given a visual redesign. Humdinger still wears his purple top hat, but he now wears a purple tailcoat over a white dress shirt, a pink necktie, purple slacks, purple socks and black dress shoes. His mustache is also thicker and fuller and it has more volume and a refined look than in the series. He also wears light purple boxers with kitty faces on it.
