Middlemost Post is an American animated television series created by John Trabbic, who was a storyboard artist on seasons 9-13 of SpongeBob SquarePants. It’s the fiftieth major Nicktoon. It premiered on Nickelodeon on July 9, 2021, alongside The Patrick Star Show, with a sneak preview being shown as part of Nick's Shorts Showcase on June 11, 2021.[1] It follows former rain cloud, Parker J. Cloud, a brawny mailman, Angus, and their magical pet walrus, Russell, as they deliver packages to the unusual inhabitants of Mount Middlemost.
On March 24, 2022, it was renewed for a 13-episode second season.[2]
On October 20, 2022, Trabbic announced that the show has wrapped up production for the time being. As such, it was unknown whether the show would get a third series but after its removal on Paramount+, chances are that it seems highly unlikely.[3]
On March 28, 2024, the series was removed from Paramount+ as part of a "strategic decision to focus on content with mass global appeal."[4]
Plot[]
Parker J. Cloud, an exuberant raincloud, lives and works in the Middlemost Post Office with Angus, a burly, rule-abiding mailman who cherishes his solitude and values efficiency, and Russell, their magical pet walrus whose stomach is so big that it doubles as a storage room. Together they journey through Mount Middlemost and the six territories of Somewhere to deliver the mail, while meeting some exceptionally quirky and peculiar people along the way. But as this loving and unconventional trio grows closer, they remain blissfully unaware that they have been brought together by one fateful stormy event.
