Michael Edward "Mike" O'Malley (born October 31, 1966) is an American actor and playwright who has appeared in films and television series. He starred in the CBS comedy Yes, Dear. Prior to Yes Dear, he had a short-lived, self-named sitcom on NBC called The Mike O'Malley Show, in which he co-starred with his sister Kerry O'Malley, and also played the central character of short-lived WB sitcom Life with Roger. As of 2010, O'Malley has a recurring role on NBC's Parenthood, and a series regular role as Burt Hummel on FOX's Glee. O'Malley graduated from Bishop Guertin High School in 1984, and graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1988. In 1991, O'Malley left New Hampshire and moved to Orlando, Florida; where he began his career at Nickelodeon with his first game show Get the Picture, which aired from March 18, 1991 to December 6, 1991. In 1992, O'Malley joined forces with Moira Quirk as co-host and referee on Nickelodeon GUTS, later changed to Global GUTS for its 4th and final season in 1995. This hosting gig gave him the credential to host the burying of the Time Capsule at Nickelodeon Studios in Orlando, Florida, in April 1992. He was also a panelist on several episodes of Figure It Out. Many years later, he appeared in animated form in the Sanjay and Craig episode "G.U.T.S. Busters".
