Nickelodeon Kart Racers 3: Slime Speedway is an racing video game published by GameMill Entertainment. It was released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One/Xbox Series X/S on October 14, 2022. It is the second sequel to the 2018 game Nickelodeon Kart Racers and includes a roster of over 40 fully-voiced playable characters, plus 90 companion characters.

Tracks[]

Included in this installment is a combination of new and returning tracks from previous games. Tracks marked in bold notate a new addition. Returning tracks have also been heavily reworked to include new mechanics, including boat sections and purple slime slides. Stages from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series in particular received massive visual changes, in order to reflect the 1987 animated series, as opposed to the 2012 series depicted in previous titles.

  • The game's existence was first confirmed by BestBuy.com and Target.com.[1][2]
    • An early version of the box art was found on a now deleted Instagram post on July 17, 2022.
  • The ability to have the karts transform into planes or watercrafts, which was present in the first game but dropped from the sequel, has been confirmed to return in this game.
  • Unlike the previous two games, the player can choose to have their characters use other characters' vehicles.
  • This is the first game in the series to include voice acting.
  • Unlike the previous two games, and like Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, this was the first game in the series to feature the 1987 cartoon versions of the TMNT characters.
  • The item box's design is again changed from the previous games. The first game featured treasure chests, and the second featured colored orbs; this time, the item boxes resemble the Kids' Choice Awards trophies.
  • This is the third racing game Garfield and Odie appears in; the first two were the Garfield Kart series, which were made released before Nickelodeon acquired the franchise.
  • This marks the first time My Life as a Teenage Robot characters appear in a racing game.
    • If SpongeBob SquarePants and the Nicktoons Gravjet Racing were not cancelled, this would have made it the second time.
  • This is the first racing game to feature Jimmy Neutron as a playable character since Nicktoons Nitro, and Cindy Vortex's first appearance in anything since SpongeBob SquarePants featuring Nicktoons: Globs of Doom.
  • This is the first game to use the 2021 versions of the Rugrats.
  • Tommy Pickles, Angelica Pickles, Shredder, and Heffer are the only characters from Nickelodeon Kart Racers 2 to not return to this game as racers.
    • Shredder, Heffer and Angelica are the only racers in the series to be demoted to pit crew characters.
  • According to the game files, Orson and Sheldon from U.S. Acres and Baby Pearl from Kamp Koral: SpongeBob's Under Years were originally set to be pit crew members.
  • JoJo Siwa is the only racer who is a mute in the game not having any lines at all.
  • This game marks Janet Varney's final time voicing Korra.
