"Overnight Success" is the first segment of the ninth episode of The Loud House.
Lincoln manages to convince hisparents to allow him to invite a friend for a sleepover, which they usually forbid at their house, due to problems caused by his sisters' attempts at having those. Soon after, Clyde arrives for the sleepover, with all of his supplies provided to him by his dads, Howard and Harold (making their first appearance). Lincoln has a detailed itinerary planned for the sleepover, but to his dismay, Clyde keeps joining in the sisters' interests. Lincoln gets frustrated with this and has a falling-out with Clyde, saying the sleepover is cancelled. Clyde attempts to go apologize to his friend, but gets distracted and faints when Lori comes by.
In spite, Lincoln invites his other classmates over, but they are all driven away by the antics of his sisters. After a while of this, Lincoln comes to realize that Clyde's the only friend he has who can enjoy, let alone tolerate, the sisters' antics and feels guilty about their argument. He goes over to Clyde's house, believing he went home, and tries to apologize to what he thinks is Clyde, but gets no response. When he returns home, he finds Clyde still hanging out with the sisters; it turned out he never left because he kept fainting around Lori (Lincoln had actually just apologized to Clyde's stuffed animals). Clyde admits that, being an only child, his life is pretty lonely sometimes, hence why he enjoys hanging out with Lincoln's sisters. Lincoln makes amends with his best friend and tears up his original itinerary, allowing his sisters to join in the fun.
Notes[]
In addition to Howard and Harold's onscreen debut, this episode also marks the first appearance of Liam Hunnicut and Zach Gurdle.
