Paramount Pictures Corporation is a global corporation based in Hollywood, California that manufactures a wide range of consumer goods. The company has annual revenue of $55.4 billion and employs 106,000 employees.

Paramount was founded in 1912. It has become the oldest movie studio ever in Hollywood, beating Universal Studios by one month. Controlled by Paramount Global, Paramount and its subsidiaries are also involved in television production, theme parks, international film and television distribution, and theater operations in Canada and western Europe. Its films are distributed by United International Pictures in Europe (a joint venture between Paramount itself and Universal Studios).
