Princess Mindy (age: 13-14) is a character from The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and one of the two most popular females (along with Pearl) in the franchise. She was designed by Sherm Cohen, who confirmed that Mindy is 13-14 years old.

She knows the names of all the sea creatures and is a good friend of SpongeBob and Patrick. Patrick has a big crush on her, which both Mindy and SpongeBob are either oblivious to or just don’t care.

Description

Mindy is a very pretty mermaid kid with light-green skin, dark-blue hair in a bob cut, round glasses, and a teal tail. She wears a yellow hair bow, a golden bracelet, and a pink midriff top with a red heart symbol in the middle.

She is known to use "Mermaid Magic" to help others overcome their fears. There really is not any mermaid magic; it is just fake. Mindy tried to get SpongeBob and Patrick to keep going when they gave up their walk, she tried to convince them that she had "mermaid magic" (which obviously wasn't real), and used it to "turn them into men" by pulling seaweed out of the ground and putting them on their noses, successfully helping them by tricking that they were real mustaches. Dennis revealed the trick after SpongeBob and Patrick passed through the trench.

Trivia

• In the video game adaptation of the movie, Mindy reveals she actually does have a small amount of mermaid magic, which she uses to get the Patty Wagon back in exchange for 50 Goofy Goober tokens.
• She is the only character to have been grounded other than Mr. Krabs. Her grounding happens in the video game based on the movie.
• The reason Mindy didn't appear after the movie was due to there being a firewall between Nickelodeon and Paramount, which prevented characters and locations from the movie from being used in the show. The wall was broken in 2015 and Mindy made her TV debut in "SpongeBob's Big Birthday Blowout." 
• Not only Mindy and Pearl are the most popular females in the franchise, but they are also non-adults/kids and calls their fathers, "Daddy".
