"Pumpkin Love" is the first segment of the thirteenth episode of ChalkZone, and also the series' Halloween episode.
Synopsis[]
On Halloween, Penny (who's dressed as a witch) arrives at Rudy's house and he greets her in his Headless Horseman costume. Rudy then shows her his entry for the school's jack-o-lantern-carving contest - a "Jill-o-lantern", a pumpkin with a wig placed on a hat rack dressed to resemble a woman. However, the hard part will be getting it to the school for the contest, because Reggie always wrecks everyone else's Jack-o-lanterns so he can win by default. Fortunately, Rudy plans to bring "Jill" through ChalkZone, and has Penny draw a sign on the school gymnasium's chalkboard for him to find where he's supposed to go.
Rudy arrives at the spot where Penny drew the sign, but before he can bring "Jill" through the portal, Snap shows up and drags him off to the Ghoulapalooza festival in Nightzone. There, Snap brings Rudy to a concert where numerous Halloween monsters (which he informs Rudy are, in fact, real monsters drawn into ChalkZone and not costumed Zoners) are rocking out to a concert. As Rudy tries to leave, the lead singer, Jacko (a Jack-o-lantern with a skeleton for a body) spots his Jill-o-lantern and falls for it. Not realizing that "Jill" isn't sentient or even a chalk drawing like him, Jacko proclaims that he is going to marry "her" and takes "her" backstage. Rudy, refusing to lose the contest because of Jacko stealing his pumpkin, goes to get it back.
Disguised as a preacher, Rudy sneaks into the bride's chamber to retrieve "Jill", and then carts it out, still under the disguise. However, when the bridesmaids find that "Jill" has gone missing, they alert Jacko about this. Making it back out onto Jacko's stage, Rudy finds Snap using a witch's broom to fly and takes off with him on it. Jacko gives chase after the duo with the help of the Banshee, and in the process, Rudy loses his Magic Chalk. However, once they cross over into Dayzone, the Banshee vanishes, and Jacko plummets to the ground ("I guess that Banshee forgot to wear his sunscreen"). Snap then brings Rudy back to the portal, and he makes it into the gym just as Mr. Wilter is giving out the prizes for the contest, scaring Reggie in the process and causing him to flip his own jack-o-lantern into the air. Rudy wins the jack-o-lantern contest, while Reggie wins Best Costume due to his jack-o-lantern having landed on his head.
