The game was based on the hit Nickelodeon series, The Ren & Stimpy Show. Unlike most Ren & Stimpy video games, this particular game was made exclusively for the Game Gear, although Tectoy, Sega's Brazilian publisher, ported the game to the Master System in Brazil in 1993.
