Charles Robert Redford Jr. (born August 18, 1936 - died September 17, 2025) was a retired American actor, director and activist. The recipient of the Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement in 2002, he was also the founder of the Sundance Film Festival. In 2014, Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world. In 2016, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. After nearly 60 years in the business, Robert Redford has announced that he is retiring from acting. The 81-year-old actor told Entertainment Weekly that his forthcoming movie, The Old Man & The Gun, was his last film.
On Nickelodeon, he provided the voice of Ike the Horse in the Nickelodeon Movie, Charlotte's Web.
