"Sing With Me" is the 12th episode of The Fresh Beat Band.
Summary[]
Kiki is in the lobby, wondering where Twist, Shout, and Marina are. Kiki sings while playing her guitar and then Marina and Twist hurry out of their rooms and hesitate, unsure of where they are heading. Kiki reminds them that they need to prepare for Music School because she and Shout will be performing a duet there. The only problem was that Shout had yet to come from his room. So Marina and Kiki perform a duet with their instruments to try to get Shout out of his room. Of course, their duet worked, and Shout was soon on his way out of his room, but he was uncertain of where he was heading. Kiki reminds him of their duet they have to perform, and the Fresh Beats collectively sing an extended version of the song "Get Up And Go Go" while getting ready.
Kiki and Shout realize that they still need to choose a song for their duet. However, they have opposing viewpoints on what to sing. Shout wants to perform a rock-and-roll song, while Kiki wants to perform an opera song. They're both chaotically trying to decide which song to sing, and it's making Twist go bananas. As a result, the Fresh Beats perform the song "Bananas."
The Fresh Beats have finished going bananas, but Kiki and Shout still need a song to sing. When the Fresh Beats observe Reed playing guitar at his music store, they decide that because he knows so much about music, he can assist Kiki and Shout in choosing a song to sing. Kiki and Shout discuss their song selections with Reed, and Reed thinks that they are both difficult decisions. Reed then suggests that they perform both of their songs they want to sing so he can get a better sense of which one to choose. Shout sings his rock-and-roll song first, and Kiki joins in because the song is supposed to be a duet. The song ended, and the music was so loud that it blew Kiki all the way to the park.
Twist then asked Kiki to sing her opera song, and Shout joined in with her. Throughout the song, Shout struggled to keep up with the lyrics, and he was eventually dragged away by someone with a large cane. Reed feels that both opera and rock 'n' roll are excellent choices after hearing both tunes. Although this is true, Marina claims that Kiki and Shout only need to sing one song for Music School, which they may both sing together. Twist came up with an idea to get a song-mixing machine and combine Kiki's and Shout's songs into a single song so they could sing together. Marina thinks it's a cool idea, but she points out that Kiki and Shout can only find one song that they can both sing.
As a result, Kiki and Shout continue to be fond of their song selections. As a result, they're both battling over which song they should sing. Twist, Marina, and Reed eventually break up Kiki and Shout's song-fighting and remind them that they aren't singing as a duet since they have two songs they want to sing. Kiki and Shout ultimately come to their senses, and Kiki informs Shout that it doesn't matter what song they sing as long as they sing it together. To remind them of this message, the Fresh Beats sing the song "Two's More Fun Than One."
The Fresh Beats arrive at Music School after finishing the song, and Kiki and Shout realize they can sing "Two's More Fun Than One" as a duet. As a result, they sang a condensed version of the song, which everyone enjoyed. As usual, Ms. Piccolo loved it, saying that Kiki and Shout's vocals blended fantabulously together and that she would listen to the Fresh Beats sing at any time.
