"Space Pirates!" is the second segment of the first episode of Super Duper Bunny League.

Synopsis

The Super Duper Bunny League get cupcakes for Derek's surprise birthday but a pirate ship inhabited by alien pirates, which is led by Captain Stickybeard, steals all the cupcakes in Important City, forcing the league to retreat back to headquarters. Over there, Dr. Annabelle was just finishing up her space rocket but hasn't attached the steering wheel yet.

The bunnies tell her that there's no time and they take off for space. However, with no steering wheel, the rocket goes haywire causing the bunnies to feel nauseous. Captain Stickybeard's pirate ship takes the rocket in and locks up the bunnies. Meanwhile, Derek returns to headquarters and finds no one there, questioning if they forgot his birthday.

In space, the league try to find a way out and Stumpy uses his stretchy arms to reach for the keys and free the bunnies. Stickybeard plans to travel through a space whirlpool to get back to the pirates' homeworld, and Annabelle warns the bunnies that if so, they would not be able to return. The league prepare to fight the pirates and learn from them that the captain never lets them have cupcakes because she says they "wouldn't" like them. The bunnies give them some, and the pirates accuse the captain of lying to them.

Cornered, the captain flees the pirate ship by stealing the bunnies' space rocket but with no steering wheel means no commission. The ship is about to crash-land on Earth and Derek notices. He rescues the bunnies and learns about the surprise, though they lost the cupcakes in space. Despite this, Important City has moved on to donuts instead.

At night, the bunnies celebrate Derek's birthday with the space pirates joining as well. However, a UFO comes by and steals all the donuts in Important City, prompting Dr. Annabelle to build another space rocket.
