"Stomp the House" is the second episode of The Fresh Beat Band.
Summary[]
Marina is pacing back and forth in the lobby, wondering where the rest of the Fresh Beats are. She figures they're still sleeping, so she grabs her drums and plays a loud drum solo, startling Kiki, Shout, and Twist awake. They wake up in their pajamas, understandably tired. So Kiki, Shout, and Twist returned to their rooms to change, and after coming out of his room, Twist hadn't even changed his clothes. Twist rapidly changed from his pajamas to his regular clothes and tossed his pajamas into his room.
Twist was confused as to why they were waking up and where they were heading. Then Shout, Kiki, and Marina reminded him that they were going to play their show for Melody at The Groovy Smoothie. Twist then realizes they're going to The Groovy Smoothie and says it aloud, oblivious to the fact that Kiki, Marina, and Shout have already said it. Twist, fortunately, ultimately realized that they had already said that. They then sing "Let's Play" as a warm-up before performing at The Groovy Smoothie.
Subsequently, the Fresh Beats are deciding which song to perform for Melody and which band member should play a solo. Kiki attempted to play a guitar solo, but it didn't sound quite right. Shout also performed a keyboard solo for the song, although it didn't sound particularly in tune with it. Twist then attempted a beatbox solo, which sounded out of tune as well. Lastly, Marina attempted a drum solo for the song, which sounded fantastic and was perfect for the song! Marina's drums broke while she was playing them, and she couldn't play her drum solo or play in the band in general if her drums were broken. Then Shout suggested fixing her drums for her, and the drum set appeared to be fixed at first, but the drum set entirely broke before Marina could even play on it.
So they headed to The Good Note Music Store, but the only drum set Reed had left was a tiny, miniscule drum set that could only be heard if you listened very closely. Due to Marina's broken drums, the Fresh Beats had to go tell Melody that they couldn't perform for her. Twist then has the brilliant idea of filling the teeny-tiny drum set with air so that people can hear Marina play her drums. After Twist presents his idea, he clashes with some garbage cans behind him and bangs on one of them like a drum, which gives Kiki, and eventually the rest of the Fresh Beats, an idea to create a completely new drum set for Marina from items found on the street.
They sing "No Problem We Can't Solve" while looking for parts for Marina's drum set, and then they find everything they need and put it together into one enormous drum set. The only item lacking from the drum set was a loud and low bass drum in the middle, which they attempted to replace with objects such as a cooking pan and a box, but they didn't have enough low sound. The Fresh Beats talk to Melody about how they need a round, bass drum-like object, and Melody suggests that they use one of The Groovy Smoothie's tables because it was loud and low enough.
Finally, the drum set was completed, with the addition of wheels on the bottom of the drum set so Marina could be pushed to The Groovy Smoothie. Then Marina put her drum set to the test to check whether it sounded well, and it did, and it sounded fantastic. After Marina tested out her drums, the Fresh Beats discovered several more musical sounds in the street, such as the street light, a water bottle, and the mailbox. Since Marina's drum set was able to be used, they performed the song "Stomp the House," which highlighted how music can be found anywhere if you really listen. The song eventually ended, and everyone, as usual, loved their performance. And in the end, Marina is very happy because Reed has fixed her drums.
