Farmer Buyer, better known as The Farmer, is a character in Back at the Barnyard. He is Duke and Everett's owner who runs the Barnyard.

Not much is known about the Farmer's early life, except that he once had a wife, who died sometime before the events of the film and series.

- The Farmer is a vegetarian, as revealed in one episode of Back at the Barnyard, though in the movie he was stated to be a vegan.
- In "Buyers Beware," it is revealed that the Farmer's last name is revealed to be Buyer. However, his real full name and age is unknown.
- In the same episode, it was revealed that he was once married and his wife is presumably dead.
- In another episode of Back at the Barnyard, the Farmer shows a photo of his mother.
