The Smart Place to Play Gallery



The Smart Place to Play is the Nick Jr. block's thirteenth branding as well as the Nick Jr. Channel's second branding. It debuted on March 1, 2012 replacing the It's Like Preschool on TV era. It was replaced with Ready to Play on May 21, 2018.

New Naming Scheme[]

Although the Nick Jr. block kept its "Nick" name and added a surname for it to be "Weekday Mornings on Nick: The Smart Place to Play", in 2014 the block returned to using the Nick Jr. branding. However, this caused confusion for kids, as now the block and the channel use the name "Nick Jr." This will be important for the future eras. However, the block still used the "Nick" screen bug and the channel kept the logo from 2009.

Bumpers and Promos[]

The bumpers on the Nick Jr. Channel takes place in a white land with green hills and pathways. Simple shapes interact by themselves and shift into the screen with a clip for the show coming up next.

Nick Jr. UK had a different take on this brand, a in 2014, they have a colored skies and and shapes that pop out.
