Thomas Francis Wilson Jr. (born April 15, 1959) is an American actor, writer, musician, painter, voice-over artist and stand-up comedian. He is best known for playing Biff Tannen, as well as his grandson Griff Tannen and great-grandfather Buford "Mad Dog" Tannen in the Back to the Future trilogy, and Coach Ben Fredricks on NBC's Freaks and Geeks.
On Nickelodeon, he is best known for voicing Herb Cecil Star (Patrick's dad), Flats the Flounder, and the Tattletale Strangler on SpongeBob SquarePants. In addition, he voiced several minor characters for The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and played a coach in an episode of Zoey 101. He also voiced Krowser Krebs in an episode of Back at the Barnyard. He also guest starred in The Angry Beavers episode "Alley Oops", in which he voiced Otis Otto, and a bowling patron. He also made a guest appearance as Ben Franklin in True Jackson, VP, provided additional voices in Planet Sheen, and played Principal Templeman in See Dad Run and Mr. Finn's father in School of Rock.
