Biography[]
Backstory and Tak and the Power of Juju
Not much is known ablut Tlaloc's backstory other than the fact that he and Jibolba teamed up in the Great Juju Challenge 60 years prior to the one in the game of the same name. His team defeated the Bucket Heads, the Giant Dwarves and the Black Mist. Years later, Tlaloc wanted to be the Elder Shaman of the Pupanunu Village, but he was ultimately beaten by Jibolba after his use of bad Juju was discovered. Because of this, Tlaloc decided to have revenge. He created the voodoo dolls, Pins and Needles, took the life force of the Moon Juju and transformed the people into sheep. He was eventually defeated by Tak and Flora after being turned into a sheep himself and getting launched onto Mountain Top, where he is attacked by rams.
Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams
In Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams, Tlaloc is still a sheep, but he learns about a powerful weapon called the Staff of Dreams, which allows the user to enter and control a person's dreams. He devises a plan to steal the Staff of Dreams from the Dream Guardian by disguising Pins and Needles into a hooded princess and disguising himself into a fake Juju known as the "Dream Juju" and sneaking into Tak's dreams. He then guides Tak throughout the Dream World until he confronts the Dream Guardian. After a long fall, Pins, Needles and Tlaloc reveal themselves to Tak. They both try to grab the Staff but they end up breaking it in half, with Tak getting the Dream Shaker and Tlaloc getting the Staff of Nightmares. The trio escape while Tak pursues.
After the three rifts opened by Pins and Needles were closed, Tak heads to Tlaloc's Sanctuary, where he must battle the voodoo dolls one last time. After this, Lok accidentally gives the Staff back to Tlaloc and he transforms back into a human. He then uses the Staff again to transform into a monster and Tak does the same and they fight. Tak wins again and Tlaloc realizes he can't defeat Tak directly, so he decides to attack Lok, Jibolba and Dead Juju instead. Tak switches bodies to fight Tlaloc and wins for the final time, defeating Tlaloc once and for all.
Tak: The Great Juju Challenge
Tlaloc has a much smaller role here. He is first seen in the background of the intro attenting the watch party. The next and last time he is seen in the entire series is after completing a few stages, he shows up and reveals that while he wishes to continue being evil, he can't bring himself to do it anymore. He then helps Tak and Lok by expanding their magic gauges. He is never seen again after this.
