"When Santas Collide" is the 29th episode of ChalkZone, and also the last episode of the show's third season. As the title suggests, it is also the show's Christmas episode.
Summary[]
On Christmas Eve at the Tabootie household, Joe is panicking because he still hasn't received his new Santa Claus costume he ordered from the Holidaze costume company. Millie tries to assure her husband that his costume is probably on its way right now when she notices their son Rudy shaking the gifts under the tree. Rudy is hoping that one of them is the set of artist's pens he wants, but Joe sulkingly remarks that he won't find those pens under the tree. Rudy is greatly upset about this, so much so that he angrily says that Joe's annual tradition of dressing up as Santa to give out gifts is "bogus". Upset at her son's Scrooge-like attitude, Millie sends him up to his room. Soon after, Millie's sister Tilly and her daughter Sophie show up, accompanied by Rudy's friend Penny, who was invited to join his family for their annual Christmas Ever dinner because she looked after Sophie while Tilly did her Christmas shopping. Penny then says they found a box for Joe in the bushes outside, much to his delight, as it contains his Santa costume. As Joe goes upstairs to change, Millie asks Penny if she can go help Rudy get into the holiday spirit.
Penny goes up to Rudy's room and finds that he's gone into ChalkZone. Going inside herself, she catches up to Rudy as Snap is showing him the all-holiday celebration that all the residents of ChalkZone come together for. After the song, Snap goes to get a cup of Jinglebelly soda as Penny tells Rudy that he should really come back for his family's Christmas Eve dinner. Rudy, however, wants to stay behind, and Snap says that's cool, because he wants Rudy to see ChalkZone's annual Santa Squadron launch. Since lots of kids draw Santas into ChalkZone, a team of eight of them are tasked to deliver presents to different sections of ChalkZone.
Snap brings Rudy and Penny to the airport run by the Society of Elves, for which he is working as an apprentice ("elves get first dibs on all the candy"), and takes them into the control tower. There, they meet the lead elf, General Elvis, who explains that the Santas receive their delivery routes from the central console. The group watches the Santa Squadron take to the skies, but just as the elves are about to send the flight plans to the Santas, Rudy accidentally knocks away Snap's soda cup and spills the Jinglebelly soda onto the console. The console shorts out and screws up the Santa Squadrons' sleighs, causing them all to crash on top of each other (hence the episode's title).
Meanwhile, back in the real world, Joe is dismayed to find that the costume company mistakenly sent him an Easter Bunny costume. When Tilly tells him that she's going to take Sophie to Toymania to see Santa Claus, Joe decides to come with them so he can find a new Santa costume. However, they're unable to find a costume store anywhere. They come upon a man in a Santa suit working for the salvation army, but when Joe tries to ask him about his costume, the man just gives him a surly response and then gets into an argument with another salvation worker.
Back in ChalkZone, Rudy, being responsible for causing the Santa Squadron to crash, takes charge of fixing the situation. He, Penny, Snap, and a group of clown doctors bring the Santas to a hospital tent to recuperate. General Elvis pressures Rudy by telling him that he must fix the squadrons' sleighs, but the Santas don't believe there's any chance and rap about how Rudy has ruined Christmas. Rudy, however, puts a quick stop to their rap and says that they need to work together. General Elvis says he could probably recover the flight plans from his computers, but someone will need to clean the mess out of the console. Snap volunteers to do that, since it was his soda that Rudy spilled. Rudy says he'll get to work using the Magic Chalk to fix the Santas' sleighs, and fortunately, the Santas are willing to operate the sleighs despite their injuries.

Rudy and Snap opt to fill in for one of the Santas.
After Rudy fixes the sleighs and Snap cleans his soda out of elves' console, however, the group finds that Santa #8, who has one of the biggest regions to cover, is absent. It turns out he is now frozen stiff after having crashed inside a snowman and will take hours to thaw. None of the other Santas can fill in for him since they're already behind schedule, so Rudy, having drawn himself a Santa outfit, volunteers to substitute. And since Rudy says he'll need an elf to assist him, General Elvis officially appoints Snap for the job. With that, the Santa Squadron takes off into the air, this time successfully.
While Rudy and Snap work on delivering presents to the residents in Santa #8's region (which includes visits to the Wait-'n-Sea and Greedy Tree Land), Joe comes home, having failed to find a Santa costume, and also worries that Sophie may not believe in Santa Claus after seeing the incident with the salvation workers earlier. Millie tells him that Rudy still hasn't down from his room, and Joe goes upstairs to order his son to cheer up. Penny comes out of Rudy's room, telling him that Rudy's busy working on a special holiday surprise, and tries to keep everyone distracted by singing "The Twelve Days of Christmas".
After they finish delivering the gifts on Santa #8's route, General Elvis commends Rudy and Snap on their work and reminds Rudy that he's "got another Christmas to save." Knowing what he means, Rudy finally shows up at his family's dinner table, still dressed in his Santa outfit. Everyone is surprised at this, and Joe gives him his bag of gifts that he was going to pass out. While giving out the gifts to his family and Penny, Rudy finds the box of artist's pens he wanted in Joe's gift bag ("Told ya you wouldn't find those pens under the tree") and decides to share them with Sophie.

Notes[]
- This is notably the only episode of ChalkZone (excluding "The Big Blow Up") in which the full show is devoted to a single segment, without a music video at the end of the episode (though the episode's closing song fills that gap).
- This is the last episode of ChalkZone to use the original character designs.
