Zuma is a major character of the Nick Jr. series PAW Patrol. As of Season 9, he has been voiced by four Canadian actors and debuted in the show's first episode, "Pups Make a Splash". His job as the aquatic rescuer.

Ready, set, get wet! Zuma is the water rescue pup. He’s a Chocolate Labrador who absolutely LOVES the water – almost as much as he loves to laugh! Zuma is a strong swimmer, an excellent surfer and an extremely loyal friend. Zuma’s philosophy? Have fun WHILE you get your work done!
Personality[]
Zuma is very laid-back and calm, though he's not as serious about duty as Chase. He is relaxed and his own fears tend to be more subtle than the rest of the pups' phobias. He is always loyal and has an abundant liking for Ryder. He is playful and always ready to have a good laugh. He's usually sunny and optimistic. He's shown to be rather good with ocean animals. Him and Rocky are good friends and he does his best to keep Rocky from getting wet. He wants to get other people to lighten up.
He has a competitive side; he and Skye have a friendly rivalry at times, but it's all in good fun. Once in "Pups Fall Festival", they even argued about who got to the elevator first. They're often shown to have a close friendship and they've been seen doing things together.
In "Pups Save the Carnival", he is shown to be upset because he is unable to win prizes in a carnival game. He loses his confidence briefly, but later regains it as the episode resolves.
He sometimes speaks like a surfer and uses slang like "dude", fittingly for the water rescue pup. He's even an expert kite surfer.
Appearance[]
Zuma has brown fur and green-yellow eyes. His collar is dark blue and holds an orange pup-tag. His standard PAW Patrol uniform consists of a bright orange vest, an orange water helmet, and scuba gear on his back.
Pup-Tag[]
Like all the PAW Patrol pups, Zuma has his own personalized pup-tag which he can use to communicate with Ryder and the other PAW Patrol pups. It can also be used to make video calls to other members. His is customized with a orange background and an anchor on it to represent his job of underwater missions. His Mighty Pup tag has a wave symbol on it.
Equipment and Vehicles[]
Zuma's pup-pack has a scuba gear on his back like a backpack and it features with a flashlight and a buoy launcher (in "The New Pup"). His Mission PAW pup-pack has a super sonar and an aqua drone, while his Sea Patrol pup-pack has a buoy. His Mighty Pups pup-pack has a surfboard, while his Aqua Pups pup-pack has a sonar. In "Air Pups", he was given a waterproof jet-pack with a scuba diving mode for air-based rescues.
His normal vehicle is an orange hovercraft that can be ridden on water and land, including sand and he gets picked in. Its vehicle number is 07. In Season 2, it was upgraded to be able to transform into a submarine to be used on water-related missions.
His Mission PAW vehicle is a yellow and orange vehicle resembling a fusion between a jet ski and a motorcycle.
His Sea Patrol vehicle is a catamaran equipped with dual robotic arms. It is use to underwater and land mode.
In the Ultimate Rescue sub-series, his hovercraft is is upgraded into a much larger hovercraft equipped with a inflatable rescue boat and two deployable jet skis.
His Mighty Pups vehicle is an orange and blue floating hovercraft with orange and blue highlights and two mini fans at the back.
His Ready Race Rescue vehicle is an orange race car with white and blue highlights that can runs on the ground at high speeds and transform into an boat that contains a buoy launcher.
His Dino Rescue vehicle is a Dino-shaped amphibious vehicle equipped with a hook and large wheels for swamp areas.
His Jet to the Rescue vehicle is an orange and blue jet with orange highlights that has two modes: stealth and rescue. When in rescue mode, its legs flip over and a buoy launcher on the front extends out.
His Moto Pups vehicle is an orange motorcycle with white and blue highlights that can function both on the ground and the water. It is equipped with a buoy.
In the movie, his vehicle in Adventure City is an upgraded version of his normal hovercraft. It can transform into a submarine as the bottom can detach and turn into a rescue raft.
His Rescue Knights vehicle is an orange hovercraft with blue highlights that is equipped with some two buoys.
His Big Truck Pups vehicle is a orange big truck with white and blue highlights that the trailer rises horizontally and transforms into a command-center that can activate his crane to rescue some sea animals.
His Aqua Pups vehicle is an orange lobster-themed sub with blue highlights and neon blue lights. It is equipped with lobster claws that can pick up anything and move obstacles out of the way.
In the second movie and the sub-series (from Season 10), his Mighty Pups vehicle is an orange and black hovercraft with white and blue highlights. When powered-up by his power paws, the fans glow blue. Though it debuted in the film, it was revealed in the sub-series that its fans can propel objects as well as hover things in mid-air.
His Jungle Pups vehicle is an orange crocodile-themed boat with blue and dark gray highlights. It is equipped with a moveable tail in the back. It is also able to imitate the sounds of a crocodile that can communicates them.
His Rescue Wheels vehicle is an orange hovercraft on black oversized wheels with light blue splash effect painted on both its sides and has two modes: land and water. When in water mode, all four wheels inflate, allowing it to float in the water. It is equipped with a buoy launcher that he uses to either knock objects away or safely catch things.
Skills and Abilities[]
Zuma is an excellent swimmer and diver, with scuba gear that support him in his underwater missions, as seen in "Pups and the Ghost Pirate", "Pups Save a Goodway", "Pups Save a Walrus" and "Pups Make a Splash". Even without his breathing apparatus, he can hold his breath for a long time, like when he let Wally breathe through his oxygen mask in "Pups Save a Walrus". He can also stand on his hind legs as shown in "Pups and the Ghost Pirate".
As a Mighty Pup, he can spray water through his paws (also retains in the second movie) and can control the ocean like Aquaman. While he gets charged-up, he can create energy bubbles to trap things. In PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie, his powers are upgraded is to turn his body into water, allowing him to slip through grates, travel through pipes and creates into a whirlpool.
